DIY ladder?

Hello!
Aujourd’hui je vais vous expliquer comment raviver votre déco avec un peu de marbre!. Pour ma part je n’ai pas (encore) de bibliothèque à la maison mais j’ai personnalisé avec un film adhésif « marbre » une boite à bonbon et un support à classeur (ou plutôt un carton convertit en support à classeur!).

Sinon pour ceux qui souhaitent personnaliser une boite comme je l’ai fait sachez que vous aurez besoin:
-d’une boite à bonbon ou tout autre boite en plastique/carton propre,
-d’une paire de ciseaux,
-d’un crayon de bois ou d’un compas,
-d’un film adhésif marbre, le miens viens d’amazon, ici.
Je vous conseille dans un premier temps de faire un test en plaçant autour de votre boite le film adhésif (sans retirer la protection bien sur!). Cette étape permet de définir les zones à recouvrir (en numérotant à l’arrière du film adhésif les zones nécessaires qui seront à découper et à coller).
Vous pourrez ensuite couper une première zone adhésive à coller sur votre boite. Surtout ne coupez pas toutes les zones attendez d’avoir collé une première partie du film adhésif pour poursuivre et avoir un résultat propre sans coupures visibles. Lors de l’application du film assurez vous qu’aucune bulle d’air ne se forme vous éviterez les bosses disgracieuses (berk)!

Comme je le disais un peu plus haut j’en ai également profiter pour créer un support à classeur via un carton que j’ai personnalisé avec un peu de film adhésif en marbre. Qu’en pensez vous?

Today I’m going to explain you how to bring back to life your home decor with a touch of marble ! For my part I do not (yet) have a library at home but I personalized a candy box and a file stand with marble adhesive film.
For those who wants to follow a good tutorial to customize a piece of furniture I invite you to take a loonk at lapartmentliving.com and in particular on this article.
Otherwise for those who want to customize a box as I did, here’s what you’ll need:
-a candy box or any other clean plastic or cardboard box,
-a pair of scissors,
-a pencil or a compass,
-a marble adhesive film, mine is from amazon, here.
I recommend you to first make a test by placing around your box the adhesive film (without removing the protection of course!). This step will help you to define the areas that need to be covered (write numbers on areas you’ll need to cut and stick on the back of the adhesive film).
You can then cut a first adhesive area to stick on your box. Do not cut all the areas you’ve defined as needed. Cut one area at the time because once you stick your adhesive film the result could be different than expected. Also, you’ll have a clean result without visible cuts. When applying the film make sure to remove air bubbles, you’ll avoid ugly bumps (uhh)!
